Meet Mabel — A Shy Little Heart Waiting to Choose Her Person
Breed: Chihuahua Mix
Gender: Female
Age: 6 years
Size: 10.4 lbs
Good with: Extremely shy but gentle
Mabel is a sweet 6-year-old fawn Chi mix with a gentle soul and a heart that takes a little time to open. Rescued from a hoarding situation, Mabel can be extremely shy when meeting new people. She just needs the opportunity to feel safe and get to know you at her own pace. Once she warms up, however, you'll discover a very special girl. And when Mabel decides you're her person, she is all in. She will happily stay by your side and give you the kind of loyal companionship that lasts a lifetime.
Mabel absolutely loves other dogs. They bring out her curious side, and she enjoys being around them and checking out all the furry friends in her world. A confident canine companion could be a wonderful addition to her forever home and help her continue building confidence. Mabel is looking for a slow, calm, and patient home where she doesn't have to rush into anything. She doesn't need someone to push her out of her comfort zone — she needs someone willing to sit beside her and let trust develop naturally.
Her journey may begin with a little hesitation, but the reward is tremendous. Once Mabel chooses you, she will be your devoted little shadow, ready to share all the quiet moments life has to offer. If you have a patient heart and a peaceful home, Mabel may be waiting for you. Give her time, and she'll give you a friendship that is incredibly special. Sometimes the shyest dogs have the biggest capacity for love. Mabel just needs someone willing to wait for her heart to open.
