Meet Grandma Gayle (Gigi) — a gentle little lady with a heart as sweet as can be.

Estimated to be around 12 years old, Gigi found herself alone as a stray in North Carolina. When no one came to claim her, Mostly Muttz Rescue welcomed her into foster care, where she's been proving that senior dogs still have so much love to give.

Gigi is the definition of an easy companion. She's calm, quiet, and happiest simply being near her people, whether that's relaxing on the couch, snoozing in one of her favorite dog beds, or joining you for a leisurely walk. She has wonderful house manners and is about 95% house trained. She also sleeps comfortably in her crate, though she's certainly not opposed to sharing the furniture if you'll let her!

She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion, though she'd also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. While she can be a little timid when meeting new people and is still learning that hands always bring kindness, she warms up with patience and quickly shows her affectionate, gentle nature.

Gigi doesn't seem bothered by everyday household noises and has a wonderfully laid-back personality. Because she's such a tiny girl, she'd do best in a home without very young children, though she has done well around respectful kids.
