Meet Snoopy!

Snoopy is an adorable 2-year-old, 9-pound Chihuahua mix with a big personality packed into one tiny little body! This handsome little guy was rescued from a euthanasia list in California, giving him the second chance he so deserved. When Snoopy first arrived at The Asher House, he was extremely shy and unsure of the world around him. While he's gained so much confidence since being here, he can still be very shy when meeting new people and will need a little patience and understanding as he gets comfortable. Once he starts to come out of his shell, though, his adorable and mischievous personality really shines!

Since arriving at The Asher House, Snoopy has gained so much confidence, and with that confidence has come a whole lot of personality! What started as a timid little guy finding his footing has turned into one adorable, mischievous troublemaker who keeps everyone at the sanctuary on their toes!

One thing we've learned about Snoopy? He's a little Houdini! Playpens, gates, and fences are apparently just suggestions in his mind. This clever little guy has figured out how to jump over playpens and squeeze through spaces you wouldn't think a dog could fit through. Whether he's sneaking off to investigate something interesting or finding his way into another dog's play area, Snoopy always seems to have a little adventure up his sleeve!

Snoopy does well with other dogs, but he definitely has some opinions about how they should behave! He's not a huge fan of overly excited or rowdy play and has been known to step in and try to correct his canine friends when things get a little too wild. He would do best with calm, respectful dogs who appreciate a more relaxed environment and don't mind his occasional attempts at being the fun police!

Snoopy would also do well with children ages 12 and older who can appreciate his spirited personality and understand the importance of keeping him safe and secure. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown.

Because Snoopy is such a talented escape artist, his future family will need to be especially mindful of secure fencing, gates, and doors. He may be tiny, but he's incredibly clever, and keeping this little adventurer safe will be an important part of his care.

Snoopy is a wonderful mix of playful, clever, and full of character. He's gained so much confidence since arriving at the sanctuary, and we can't wait to see him continue to blossom in a loving home. He may keep you on your toes with his silly antics, but we have a feeling he'll also keep you smiling every single day!
