River - Chihuahua and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Portland, Oregon

Hi, I'm River! I am a 5-year-old, 21-pound (very chunky- I need a weight loss journey!) chihuahua type mix and I'm looking for my forever home. I was recently surrendered to the rescue after my previous owner had to leave for rehab to better their life. I am a little apprehensive of everything that is going on but I am trying my best to be brave! I don't mind other dogs but can get a bit overwhelmed in the playgroups. I am a bit shy given everything that I've gone through but seem to enjoy human attention. I'll need a home that can give me a bit of time to adjust to this big life change I've just gone through. I am sweet and will blossom with a consistent routine and affection.
