Hi, I'm Diva!

I'm a 3-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mama who has already been through quite an adventure! Before arriving in Oregon, I was reportedly living as a stray with my six puppies. A kind rescue found us after seeing us spending time under their carport, where they provided food and water for about two weeks. Eventually, we were brought to safety, and my babies and I made the journey north to start a new chapter.

Now my puppies are growing up, and I'm ready for a forever home of my own! I've been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for fleas and worms. My medical checklist is taken care of, but I'm still working on feeling comfortable in this big, confusing human world.

I'll be honest: I'm VERY nervous. I don't quite understand leash pressure yet, and I'm still figuring out why humans want to pet dogs so much! I need someone who understands that trust takes time and who won't expect me to become a confident, outgoing companion overnight. Here at ODR, I've done well when people move slowly, respect my space, and let me decide when I'm ready for interaction.

My ideal home will be a quiet, patient place where I can decompress, build confidence, and learn at my own pace. Please don't mistake my nervousness for a lack of potential. I've already shown that I can make progress when people give me the time and space I need.

If you have a gentle heart, a calm home, and the patience to let a little Chihuahua blossom in her own time, I'd love the chance to meet you. I may not be ready to leap into your arms just yet, but I'm hoping to find someone who believes I'm worth waiting for.
