Meet Ginger!
Ginger is an adorable 812-year-old, 12-pound sweetheart with a beautiful light cream coat and the cutest ears youve ever seen. Shes looking for a loving family to help her start her next chapter.
Sadly, Gingers human mom passed away. Her family was unable to keep her because their larger dogs were becoming aggressive toward her. They reached out to CRT to see if we could help find Ginger a family who will love her as much as her Mom did. We were happy to say yes — Ginger is a truly sweet girl.
Dont let her age fool you — Ginger still has plenty of pep in her step! She loves her daily zoomies, playing with toys, rolling in the grass, and stretching out in a sunny spot for a good sunbath. When shes ready to relax, youll often find her burrowed under a cozy blanket or perched by the window, happily watching the neighborhood go by.
Ginger is incredibly affectionate and loves people of all ages, especially children. She also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making her an easy fit for many different homes. She would be just as happy with a playful canine companion as she would being your one-and-only spoiled pup.
Ginger is potty trained, low-maintenance, and a quick learner who is eager to please. Ginger recently had a dental, so her smile is fresh and healthy! She is currently working on her harness and leash skills and is making great progress. At night, she sleeps happily in her dog bed, though shed be thrilled to snuggle up in bed with her humans if invited.
Like many little dogs, Ginger likes to let her people know when something sounds unfamiliar. She will bark at strange noises, so she would do best in a home rather than an apartment or other shared-wall living situation.
After experiencing the loss of her beloved owner, Ginger deserves a family who will cherish her as much as she will cherish them. If youre looking for a loyal, loving companion with the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle time, Ginger is ready to fill your home and your heart — with happiness.
