Leonardo - Chihuahua and Terrier Dog for Adoption in New York, New York

Leonardo is a 1-year-old, 10-pound male Chihuahua mix from New York City! He is a snuggly, laid back, affectionate pup who loves nothing more than to be next to his buddies (human and canine).

He is a city pro and has adjusted very well to apartment life, but would also probably do well with some space to explore. With his supermodel legs, he walks on the leash like a champ with no reactivity or pulling.

Leonardo has been working diligently on learning his commands and is proving to be an expert in “come here”. In his foster home, he seems to be fully potty trained with no accidents and no pee pads needed!

He's done well in his crate during the day, settling quickly once he's had a little cry about it. The absolute best part of his day is getting to cozy up next to his humans where he can really show off his award winning snuggle abilities.

Leonardo is a flexible pup who would thrive in a medium-active or laid back household. He is down for an adventure just as much as he is down to nestle on the couch. He's done great with other dogs in the home but is also confident enough on his own. While he's in a child free foster, he's seemed to really love meeting kids on the street. This sweet, laid back boy is looking for his forever snuggle companion!

Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Will need to be neutered and will be scheduled through Waggytail Rescue.
