If you’re looking for a companion who is equal parts sweet and silly, look no further than Polly. This darling girl found herself at the Tahoka, TX shelter with her best friend, Sister, after a life that hadn’t been very kind to them.

Polly arrived thin, dirty, and struggling with itchy skin from flea dermatitis. Just like her bestie, her teeth were in very poor condition, making it hard for her to enjoy life. But those days are officially in the rearview mirror! After a full dental and clear bloodwork, Polly is feeling like a brand-new dog.

Polly is about 9 years old and weighs in at a dainty 7lbs. She is rocking the 'supermodel' look—she’s a bit taller and more lanky than your typical Chihuahua, which gives her such a unique and charming silhouette!

What makes Polly special:

The Gentle Type: She has a soft, quiet energy and absolutely loves a gentle touch.

Foodie at Heart: Now that her dental work is done, she’s discovered the joy of soft food and never misses a meal.

Dog-Friendly: She gets along beautifully with other dogs and finds comfort in her furry friends.

Lap Enthusiast: She may be a bit taller, but she folds up perfectly to fit right in your lap for an afternoon nap.

Polly has spent a long time just trying to get by, and now she’s ready to be pampered. She is a healthy, happy girl who just wants to know she’s safe and loved.

A Note on True Friendship: Polly’s journey wouldn't be the same without Sister. They have leaned on each other through the hardest times, and while Polly is ready for her forever home, she’d be the happiest girl in Texas if she could stay by Sister’s side.
