This 1-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund/Jack Russell mix may only be 14 pounds, but her personality is HUGE. Dottie is playful, hilarious, affectionate, and full of spunky little-girl energy. She lives for zoomies in the backyard, squeaky toys, wrestling matches with her 60lb foster brother, and cuddling up with her people after a busy day of adventures.

Dottie would thrive in an active home that loves walks, outdoor time, and play. A yard would be a dream for her lightning-fast zoomies, but what she really wants most is a family who will continue helping her build confidence and shower her with love.

Shes crate-trained, smart, and eager to please, she already knows sit, stay, place, and comes running when called.

Shes also made huge progress on walks and around new experiences. Loud vehicles and motorcycles can still make her nervous, and she can be vocal when meeting new people, but once she gets a quick sniff and some reassurance, she settles beautifully.

Dottie LOVES other dogs and would enjoy a calm, patient canine friend to play and cuddle with, though shed also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as the only pup in the home. She would do best with kids 7+ because she gets very excited and playful and has not been cat tested.

Like any young dog, Dottie is still learning. Shell need continued positive reinforcement with leash manners, calmly greeting dogs, and redirecting excited puppy nibbles into toys instead of hands. But she is incredibly responsive, affectionate, and has already come such a long way in foster care.

If youre looking for a funny, loving, adventurous little sidekick with endless personality and the sweetest cuddles, Dottie might just be your girl.
