Ellie Mae is a 2 year old Chihuahua & Terrier Mix with a soft heart and a bright, ready-for-the-future spirit.

Once left behind in Bakersfield alongside her friends Molly Mae and Sallie Mae, Ellie Mae didn't let her past define her. Instead, she's showing everyone just how resilient a small dog with a big heart can be. Now she's safe, and she's ready for the part of her story where she finally gets chosen and stays chosen.

She's social, easygoing, and good with other dogs, making her a lovely match for a home with canine companions or someone looking for a friendly little shadow to share life with. Ellie Mae has a gentle charm about her—she leans into kindness, enjoys companionship, and is happiest when she feels included and secure.

Ellie Mae is ready to trade uncertainty for stability, and she's hoping her next stop is a forever home where she never has to wonder again.

We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications.
