When she feels unsure, Pita doesn’t bark or act out… she simply rolls onto her back in the sweetest show of trust and submission. She won’t be the first to run up to you… but she’ll be the one who never leaves your side🌸

Once she feels safe, her affectionate side begins to shine. Pita truly enjoys love and attention (especially from kids!) and will happily soak up gentle cuddles at her own pace. She also loves having a cozy space to call her own… you’ll often find her curled up in a soft, fuzzy bed, perfectly content. Add a small bone or a tasty treat, and you’ll start to see her adorable personality peek through.

Pita would do best in a calm home, ideally with other pets she can quietly observe and learn from. With patience, kindness, and a steady routine, she will continue to grow in confidence and become a deeply devoted companion.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
