Izzy - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Hopkinton, Massachusetts

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Izzy! She is approximately 3 years old, 12 lbs currently, and she may have some Chi in her mix! She was surrendered after her former family had a baby and could no longer care for Izzy. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house training, doing great with her crate training and walks well on leash. She could join households with other dogs (she does resource guard food) and kids 5+.

Her foster says, "Izzy is a very friendly and outgoing girl! She makes friends very quickly! Izzy loves loves toys. Her favorite hobby is hunting down flies (or any bug) and catching them mid air (and eating them lol). She does bark when she gets overly excited when I get home or when she knows she is going to get a treat. I take a treat over to her crate and she goes right in for me. She has not chewed on her bed at all. She will occasionally destuff a toy but not too often. She gets along with my dogs even though mine are older and not near as playful. She does try to get them to play with her though lol. She will make a great addition to any family and will settle in very quickly!"
