Meet Diesel!

Gulfport, MS | Apply through Tired Dog Rescue

Looking for a tiny sidekick with a big personality? Meet Diesel, an 8-year-old, 6-pound Chihuahua who is convinced he's at least the size of a Great Dane!

Diesel is the definition of a loyal lap dog. If you're relaxing on the couch, don't be surprised if he decides your lap is now his permanent seat. He loves to snuggle, binge-watch TV with his favorite human, and soak up all the attention he can get.

When he's feeling playful, Diesel is all about a good game of fetch with his favorite squeaky toys. Just remember-those toys are his prized possessions, and he'll happily let you know they're his! He's also housebroken, knows the command "stay," and enjoys spending time outside before heading right back inside where the air conditioning and cuddles are.

Diesel would do best in an adult home or one with older children, as little kids make him nervous. He's good with cats and can live with another dog, although he'll appreciate a slow introduction since he's definitely the boss in his own mind.

Car rides aren't his favorite, but he feels much more comfortable riding safely in a crate. He also prefers walking in a harness, where he feels secure and confident.

If you're looking for a funny, affectionate little companion who wants nothing more than to be your shadow, Diesel may be your perfect match.
