Meet Bersa!
Bersa is a sweet, smart, loving girl who just needs a little time to show you who she really is. Bersa is a year and a half old and weighs around 12 pounds!

Bersa was brought into rescue with a broken leg and with the wonderful care of her foster parent, has made a remarkable recovery! Bersa will be up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped before adoption!

When Bersa first meets someone or finds herself in a new environment, she can be very shy. Her first instinct is usually to find a quiet, safe place to hide while she takes everything in. But give her a little patience and reassurance, and it doesn't take long before she decides you're her person - and then you've got a best friend!

Once Bersa feels comfortable, she is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. She's energetic, playful, and would love a family that can keep her involved in everyday life. We think she could be a wonderful fit for an active household, including a family with kids.

Bersa is one smart cookie! Bersa is obedient and has some surprisingly good manners. At mealtime, she knows exactly where to sit and patiently waits until she's told she can eat - something her foster didn't even have to teach her!

She hasn't shown much interest in toys yet, although having to wear a cone certainly didn't make playing very easy. Now that the cone is gone, we're excited to see if her playful side starts coming out even more. She also hasn't been destructive or shown a tendency to chew things she shouldn't.

Bersa is still learning that her foster home is a safe place. Right now, she occasionally finds herself a cozy hiding spot when things around the house get noisy or unfamiliar. She'll do best with a family that understands she may need a little space and patience while she settles in.
