Meet Lucy! This confident, silly, playful girl is ready to find a family of her own!

Lucy is potty trained, does wonderfully in her kennel, and settles quietly when it's time to relax. She enjoys leashed walks, loves being outdoors, and has plenty of energy for an active family. She can go on long walks without tiring, but she isn't destructive in the home.

Lucy LOVES people and happily approaches new people with enthusiasm. She has done well with children, including 8-year-olds who have held and interacted with her. When she's tired out, she turns into a cuddly little snuggle bug. She's also known for being kissy from time to time!

Playtime is one of Lucy's favorite things. She loves chasing dogs around the yard, running after balls, and chewing on antlers, bully sticks, and Kongs. She would love a playful dog companion or an active family who can keep up with her energy.

Lucy has also lived with cats. She is interested in them and will try to play, but she has not shown aggression toward them. She generally ignores them unless they approach her. That said, Lucy is a playful, energetic dog, so her cat interactions should be supervised and managed appropriately. Her fosters cats are dog-savvy, and her foster family is comfortable stepping in when her enthusiasm gets the best of her. If you're looking for a dog who will completely ignore your cats, Lucy may not be the right match.

A fenced yard would be a huge bonus for Lucy, as she loves having space to run, play, or simply stretch out in the grass.
