Hi, I’m Astra — a 6-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 10 pounds, and I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas. If your idea of a perfect day involves cozy blankets, relaxing on the couch, and having a sweet little companion by your side, then we might be a perfect match. I’m a calm, laid-back girl who enjoys the quieter things in life and would much rather snuggle than cause any trouble.

While I'm mostly a professional lounger, I do enjoy getting outside and playing with my dog friends. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, love all the kennel staff, and haven't met a stranger yet. My gentle, friendly personality makes me easy to love, and I'm the kind of dog who can fit into just about any home. I'm quiet, well-mannered, and happy simply being near my people. I haven't been cat tested, but my caregivers don't think cats would be an issue, and testing can be done upon request.

I'm fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccines and preventstives. Now all I need is a forever family to call my own.
