Bonded Seniors Seeking Their Forever Home

Meet Mindy and Abby, two sweet senior girls looking for a loving home together after losing the person they loved most. Their owner passed away a little over a month ago, and these devoted companions have spent the past several weeks adjusting to a whole new life. Now they're ready to start their next chapter with a family of their own.

Mindy is a 10-year-old long-haired Chihuahua, and Abby is a 13-year-old Dachshund. They have been together for the past 10 years and share a special bond. You'll often find them snuggled together, sleeping side by side, or checking in on one another throughout the day. Because of this, they are looking for a home where they can stay together.

Both girls recently underwent dental procedures and had several teeth removed. They have recovered beautifully and have been cleared by our veterinarian.

Abby developed an intermittent cough while in foster care, so we completed a cardiac workup. She does have a heart murmur and a slightly enlarged heart, but at this time no additional concerns were found. She is not currently on medication but will need routine monitoring with her future veterinarian.

Their foster mom describes them as incredibly sweet and easy companions. Mindy is very well house-trained and loves being close to her people. If you provide pet stairs, she'll happily join you in bed at night. Abby is a little more reserved and appreciates a patient family willing to help build her confidence and give her some individual attention. Together, they make the perfect pair.

These girls enjoy a simple routine, are well-mannered around the house, and are not prone to darting out doors. They are looking for a calm, loving home where they can spend their golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and companionship.
