Mikey has officially finished quarantine and is ready to find his forever family!

This sweet pug mix boy (around 20–25 pounds) was found wandering the streets of Fresno, somehow surviving all on his own… without eyesight. We’re so grateful he was rescued and made his way into our care—because this boy is something truly special.

Now fostered in Eugene, Oregon, Mikey is settling into home life beautifully. Despite being blind, he is one of the happiest, most expressive dogs you’ll ever meet. We estimate he’s around 6 years old, and nothing slows him down! Within just a few days in his foster home, he had already mapped out the layout and confidently navigates his space—including the two steps down to the patio—all by himself like a pro.

Mikey has done great with the resident dogs and settled in easily. Slow introductions are key as without sight, he needs some time to figure other dogs out. He’s currently fostered in a home with a cat, though he hasn’t had direct one-on-one interactions yet.

But his absolute favorite thing? People. ❤️
Mikey lives for human connection. At his very first adoption event, he won over everyone he met—there wasn’t a single person he didn’t want to cuddle, lean on, or “hold hands” with. One of his cutest habits is gently taking your hand in his mouth when he wants pets or playtime—it’s his way of saying “don’t stop loving me!”

Because Mikey experiences the world a little differently, he will need patience and consistency when it comes to potty training in a new home. He is a smart, adaptable boy who will benefit from guidance and a predictable schedule.

Mikey is truly something special! He’s ready to bring so much love, laughter, and companionship into someone’s life.
