Dilly is a sweet, 4-month-old Chihuahua and Dachshund mix who was surrendered with her brother when their owner could no longer care for them. Now this little girl is ready to find a family to love her furever!
Dilly can be timid when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable her sweet personality shines. She does well with other dogs and cats and would likely enjoy a home with gentle, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact with a small puppy.
Dilly is looking for an active family ready for all the fun—and responsibility—that comes with raising a puppy. She is working on perfecting her house training and crate training and has had limited experience walking on a leash. Her family will need to provide frequent potty breaks, a consistent routine, positive reinforcement, and patient guidance as she learns.
Like any puppy, Dilly needs age-appropriate exercise, playtime, safe chew toys, socialization, and plenty of supervision. A family home more often than not would give her the time and attention she needs to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal's temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.
While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.
FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
