Little teeny weeny Posey has been returned. She left at 3.5# and 3 months later has come back at 5.8#s. Needless to say she's been over fed and spoiled. She has been returned for being bossy to the other tiny female long-haired Chihuahua in the home as well as chasing the neighbor lady's feet when she comes over to visit. She weighs 3-5#s during this 3 months she's been in the home.
Anyhow..... Meet Posey! A 5 yr old spayed female purebred (apple head) Chihuahua. We originally rescued her from an overcrowded shelter in Southern Idaho when her person had passed away. She is pee pad trained, but also does like to do her business outdoors if you take her out to the middle of the lawn and walk around with her, off leash. She will not potty on a leash. She is a total lap dog snuggle bug. She had never shown me an ounce of aggression or dominance in the 5 or 6 weeks I had her before she was adopted. So this is something new and something that just needs to be nipped in the bud right now. These little midgets will be the boss, if you aren't! They can be disciplined just like a big dog and people shouldn't be afraid to do so. Just because they're teenie weenie doesn't mean they can be jerks! I would really like to get her into a home with somebody with tiny toy dog experience so this doesn't happen to her again.
