Hi, I'm Ruby.
You might remember my brother Rocco, the tiny 6-pound guy who came to DPS severely matted, skin and bones, covered in ticks, and desperately needing medical care.
Well I'm his sister.
And unfortunately, I wasn't doing much better.
When DPS got me, I was covered in ticks, my skin was in terrible condition, and I was so severely dehydrated that I had to stay at the veterinary hospital for a couple of days.
Basically, my little body had been through A LOT.
But look at me now.
I survived all of that and have since discovered something called indoor living, and I would just like to say
WHY WAS THIS INFORMATION KEPT FROM ME?!
There are couches.
There are fluffy blankets.
There are people who bring you FOOD.
And apparently, you can just lie around doing absolutely nothing while humans tell you how cute you are?!
I was MADE for this lifestyle.
I'm tiny, sweet, curious, and I definitely have opinions. I enjoy supervising everything happening around me while contributing absolutely nothing.
And then there are my ears.
One is on duty.
The other has submitted its resignation.
After everything I went through, I think I've earned the right to be a little spoiled.
So now I'm looking for my forever family. Preferably one with comfortable furniture, plenty of blankets, good snacks, and humans who understand that I will be management.
My past may be connected to neglect, but that's not where my story ends.
From here on out, I'm planning on being Ruby: beloved family member, professional couch warmer, household supervisor, and tiny queen of absolutely everything.
