Happy Feet - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Chattanooga, Tennessee

foster to help with his transition to the right home
Happy Feet -- Approx. 2 Years Old | Chihuahua/Rat Terrier Mix
Happy Feet was not a happy camper at the shelter. The noise, activity and unfamiliar people were simply too much for this sensitive little guy. Thankfully, an experienced Chihuahua foster stepped up on September 25, and getting Happy Feet into a home environment has allowed us to see a completely different dog.

Happy Feet is approximately 2 years old and appears to be a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. He gets along well with other dogs and has been enjoying the comforts of foster life, including outings and adventures with his foster family.

Happy Feet's biggest need is patience with new people. He needs a slow introduction and someone who understands not to push him before he's ready. Give him the opportunity to observe, feel safe and approach on his own terms, and you'll begin to see the sweet, funny little dog his foster has gotten to know.

Because Happy Feet has made such wonderful progress in foster care, we would like to work through his current foster when introducing him to potential adopters and transitioning him into the right home. His foster knows him well and can help set both Happy Feet and his new family up for success. We aren't looking to rush this placement--we're looking for the right fit.

If you're willing to give Happy Feet a little time and let trust develop at his pace, we'd love to hear from you. This little guy has already shown us just how much he can blossom when someone gives him the chance.
