DESCRIPTION
On October 10, we were notified that a dog was hiding around the corner of our shelter. We found him tucked beneath our heating unit, growling and showing his teeth. He was so scared that we couldn't tell his age or gender, and even Vienna sausages couldn't convince him to come out. We suspect he had been abandoned at or near the shelter.
We used a catch pole to keep him and our staff safe. As we carefully worked our way closer, we quickly realized he was just a frightened pup. We were able to switch to a slip lead and gently guide him inside to a warm meal and a bed.
Fast forward to October 22: Copper is a sweet, loving one-year-old who gets along great with other dogs and has the cutest little nubby tail. He's now fully vetted, heartworm negative, neutered, and ready to go home.
Copper needed safety, kindness, and a little time to show us who he is. Now this sweet boy needs a family. Come meet him at East Ridge Animal Services.
