Meet Canela!

Canela is a sweet, low-energy snuggle bug who is happiest when she's curled up right beside her favorite humans or soaking up a warm sunbeam. A simple 30-minute daily walk is all she needs to stay content, and she is a complete dream on a loose leash.

She is a sensitive girl who takes a little extra time to build confidence around new people, loud noises, and unfamiliar environments. Once she feels safe, she takes treats so gently, enjoys pets all over, and loves being brushed.

Canela does wonderfully with older kids and can adjust to gentle younger ones with slow, patient introductions. She also does great living alongside other dogs and pays no mind to cats.

Because she experiences some separation anxiety, she requires a confident canine companion in her home to help her feel secure. She is a deeply devoted lap dog who loves her humans immensely, though she can sometimes be protective of her cozy lap space.

She is nearly house-trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and virtually never barks. If you are looking for a gentle, affectionate companion to bond with, Canela is ready to steal your heart!
