Meet Truett!

Truett is a 2-year-old, 13-pound Chug - Chihuahua/Pug mix with the sweetest little personality!

When Truett first arrived, he was pretty scared and wasn't quite sure whether we were naughty or nice! He watched us carefully, trying to decide if we could be trusted. Then we offered him his preventative tucked inside a yummy Pill Pocket...and apparently that was all the proof he needed! "Okay, these people might be alright!"

Truett is incredibly gentle, sweet and submissive. After just a few hours, we could literally see the light come on. His worried little face began to soften, his confidence started growing, and then came that adorable smile.

There's something so special about watching a scared dog realize, "I'm safe here."

We have a feeling Truett is going to keep blossoming into one very happy little Chug. With a little patience, kindness and plenty of yummy treats, this sweet boy will make someone an absolutely wonderful companion
