Chihuahua and Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

Dusty is a playful pup who's ready to make the move to MN and find his family! He's great with kids, cats, and small dogs, making him a wonderful fit for a variety of homes. With some basic training already under his belt, Dusty is ahead of the curve as far as puppies go!
He's almost fully potty trained and just needs a consistent schedule to help him master it. Dusty does well on a leash and is comfortable in a crate, which makes daily routines a breeze.
He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up, he's all about cuddles, his favorite place is curled up in your lap. As a young dog, Dusty is full of playful energy and loves to chew (especially on shoes!), so he'll benefit from plenty of toys and guidance to keep him on track.
If he was auditioning for America's Got Talent? He'd show of his moves by running in circles (and would be COMPLETELY shocked if that didn't advance him to the finals).

Dusty is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 05/16/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
