Boscoe is a loving companion waiting for a warm lap to curl up on. This wonderful dog has a heart full of love and a spirit that will bring joy to your life. With a calm and affectionate nature, Boscoe is the perfect friend to snuggle up with and share your days. Boscoe's kind eyes and gentle demeanor will capture your heart, and you'll find yourself falling in love with this sweet soul.
Boscoe came to us along with 4 other siblings, all of which are sweet, but fearful. They had lived in a yard with multiple other dogs, being fed, but little else.
Boscoe has the most curiosity about the world, so he has advanced much faster. He is greeting different people that come to visit him, and is becoming more happy to meet them. His leash training has progressed enough that we are comfortable he is ready for a family of his own.
He is a happy little guy. He is all boy! Everything is a potential to be a new toy! Boscoe's ideal home would be one that is not overwhelming with activity, as he is accepting, but it's all still a learning process. If you have another dog or have dogs around that he could interact with that's a bonus! He would be a great candidate to go to doggy day care a few days a week to keep up his social skills.
For being an outside dog, Boscoe has a pretty good understanding of where to potty, and he made that decision all on his own. Patience in adjusting to his new surroundings to help him continue his good manners will be needed, but he is a smart little dog. Boscoe is ready to explore his world with his new family, ready to put his best paw forward.
Basics: He is a neutered male guessed to be around 2 yrs old and weighs close to 20lbs. Up to date on rabies and vaccines.
Adoption Process:
- Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application
- One of our team members will get back to you via phone.
- Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding
- Adoption fee is $280 and helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.
-We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.
About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. Please donate if you can. Every dollar adds up and we are grateful for any help we can get: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/DayoftheDogs
