We Willy Winkum is a 5-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix with a story that’s just as unique as his adorable face. He came to our shelter from a breeder, but before that, he was raised in a home with a family who later sold him to the breeder. So while his journey has had a few twists, he’s already experienced home life and is ready to settle back into it for good.
The breeder originally believed he was a purebred Cavalier, but a DNA test revealed he’s actually a charming mix: 75% Cavalier, 13% Japanese Chin, and 12% Mi-Ki. Because of this, he was no longer used for breeding — which means he now gets the chance to find something even better: a loving forever home.
Willy is incredibly sweet and gentle. He is crate trained and does very well in his kennel (he keeps it nice and tidy!), though he will need a little continued guidance with potty training as he adjusts to a new home.
This tiny guy weighs just 8 pounds, but he still has plenty of personality! During his photoshoot, he showed off his playful side with a burst of zoomies that had everyone smiling.
And let’s talk about those eyes…
We’re pretty sure Willy’s eyes have their own personality. They’re so big and expressive, it feels like he’s constantly trying to tell you something… or politely negotiating for extra treats at all times.
Willy is current on vaccines and will be neutered and receive a dental cleaning before heading to his new home.
If you’re looking for a sweet, silly little companion with a loving heart and unforgettable eyes, We Willy Winkum might just be your perfect match
