RESCUE STORY – I was found wandering the streets of a village back in February 2024. A kind rescuer spotted me near where she worked and thought I might be lost or had been abandoned. Thankfully, she decided to take me in! After receiving the veterinary care I needed, I went to a boarding facility while I waited for my forever family to bring me home! Sadly, no one came forward to adopt me. After patiently waiting, I finally made it to a foster home in September 2026! I'm hoping my next move will be into a loving home of my very own.

TEMPERAMENT – I'm a sweet, easygoing girl who loves spending time with people. I'm quite an independent girl and tend to prefer human company over socializing with other dogs (though I am a nice girl around my four-legged friends, as you can see here!) If you're looking for a loving companion who's happy to hang out with you either outdoors or on the couch, then look no further because I'm the girl for you!

NOTE: It is important to consider "breed need" when adopting. Cattle Dogs are incredibly intelligent, loyal, and driven working dogs. They thrive with adopters who can provide plenty of daily physical exercise, mental enrichment, and consistent training. This breed loves having a job to do, whether that's hiking, dog sports, advanced training, or puzzle-solving activities. They are best suited to active homes that understand herding breeds and are committed to helping them channel their energy in positive ways. With the right outlet and guidance, Cattle Dogs make devoted, fun-loving companions who form incredibly strong bonds with their people.

IDEAL HOME/ADOPTER:

A loving, active home where I can spend lots of quality time with my people!
I'm fairly independent, so a family without other dogs in the household would be ideal.
A family who can provide daily walks, playtime, affection, and opportunities to explore would help me thrive and build confidence in my new environment.

ENERGY LEVEL – Medium. I'm a nicely balanced girl who enjoys getting out for walks and having opportunities to play. My Cattle Dog make-up means that I need daily stimulation to keep me healthy and happy. But I don't need to be on the go all day long; I also enjoy a good cuddle and snooze!

GETS ALONG WITH:

Kids – Yes. I'm friendly with children, as you can see in this video.

NOTE: As with all dogs, I should be supervised around children and should have my space advocated for by adults.

Dogs – Yes. I'm comfortable around other dogs and enjoy having a pal to play with from time to time. I've also shown no signs of resource guarding to date! Generally, I'm more interested in spending time with people than constantly interacting with other dogs, and usually keep to myself at the dog park (video, video).
Cats – Unknown.

PREY DRIVE – Unknown. I'm not too sure how I'll react around squirrels/rabbits, etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.

TRAINING:

Leash skills – Good. I'm a lovely walking companion who walks easily on leash without pulling. I don't react when other dogs pass nearby, and traffic doesn't seem to bother me – just check out this video of me strolling along a noisy street! I'll still benefit from regular walks and continued positive reinforcement to keep my leash skills sharp. A well-fitted harness and ongoing training will set me up for continued success!
House trained – Yes! I'm potty-trained and ready to continue my good habits in my forever home. As with any change in environment, a little patience and gentle encouragement while I settle in will help me succeed

Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.

HEALTH NOTES:

I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.
I will be tested for Heartworm etc., before flying to Canada.
NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.

ADOPTION FEE:

My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax ($750.00 + 5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.
