Heidi is a sweet 9-year-old Cattle Dog mix looking for a loving home where she can enjoy all the best things in life! Don’t let her age fool you—this girl still has plenty of pep in her step and absolutely loves getting out for long hikes and adventures.

Heidi spent many years with her beloved owner, but due to severe health issues, she now finds herself looking for a new loving home through no fault of her own.

At home, Heidi is well-mannered and affectionate. She loves being around her people and will happily show you just how much she cares. She can be a little anxious at times, so she’ll do best with a patient, understanding family who can help her feel safe and confident.

When it’s playtime, Heidi is all in! She loves all kinds of toys, but tug and fetch are definitely among her favorites. Whether you’re looking for a hiking buddy, a playmate, or a loving companion to relax with at the end of the day, Heidi would love to be by your side.

Heidi has lived successfully with a medium-sized dog, but she definitely has her own opinions about her canine friends! She can be selective about which dogs she likes and, in particular, she is not a fan of small dogs. Because of this, a meet-and-greet with any resident dog is important to make sure everyone is comfortable and compatible.
