Rue - Carolina Dog Dog for Adoption in Princeton, Massachusetts

RUE

Carolina Dog
🇺🇸
Princeton, Massachusetts
June 20th
female, medium, baby

DESCRIPTION

Rue is a 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy who weighs approximately 25lbs, and she's the kind of dog who quickly wins people over with her sweet nature, intelligence, and eagerness to learn.

She got the name Rue because of her ears resembling those of a Kangaroo!

She already knows an impressive list of commands, including sit, down, come, wait, move, yes, and no, and she picks up new skills quickly. Rue is both crate-trained and pretty close to being fully potty-trained, making her an easy addition to a home ready for a young dog.

Rue loves people, enjoys meeting strangers, and gets along well with other dogs. She has the perfect mix of affection and playful puppy energy - happy to run, play, and explore, but also eager to connect with her people. She is quiet in her crate, and responds exceptionally well to positive reinforcement and treats.

Originally surrendered to Memphis Animal Services as her previous family adjusted to life with a new baby, Rue is now looking for a family that can give her the time, attention, and love she deserves.

Like many young puppies, Rue is still developing good habits around mealtime. She currently needs a slow feeder and would benefit from continued positive-reinforcement training around her food bowl. She has already shown improvement and is making great progress.

Rue would thrive with an active individual, couple, or family looking for a smart, loving companion who is past the very early puppy stage but still young enough to grow into an incredible lifelong friend.

If you're looking for a friendly, trainable, affectionate dog with a lot of potential, Rue may be the perfect match.
