Meet Solstice, a beautiful 2-year-old, 45-pound Carolina mix with a gentle heart and sweet soul. This lovely girl may be a little shy at first and tends to hang back until she's sure she can trust you, but once you earn her confidence, you'll discover just how special she is.

Solstice has an incredibly kind nature and truly doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes and build her confidence.

She already has all the important skills down too — Solstice is house broken, kennel trained, and knows how to use the dog door like a pro. What she needs most now is a patient family willing to give her the time and understanding she deserves as she settles in and learns that she's finally safe.

If you have a calm, loving home and the patience to let a shy girl blossom at her own pace, Solstice could become the most loyal and rewarding companion you could ask for.

Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.)

You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization.

Her adoption fee is $150. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar.

Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org.

Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references.

Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232. Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
