Lauren may have three legs, but she certainly doesn’t let that slow her down! After being hit on I-75, Lauren lost a leg—but she didn’t lose her sweet spirit, playful personality, or love for life.

This girl is the perfect reminder that three legs can do just about everything four legs can do! She loves to play, enjoys being around her people, and is an absolute cuddle bug when it’s time to settle in.

Lauren is also a very good girl who knows all about the rules of the household. She gets along well with other dogs and does great with older children.

She’s sweet, loving, playful, cuddly, and ready to show everyone that being a little different doesn’t mean you can’t live a wonderfully normal dog life.

The Carolina Dog, a primitive breed known for its wild ancestry, is a medium sized, agile, and intelligent dog originally found roaming freely in the Southeastern United States. With a distinctive appearance marked by erect ears, a bushy tail, and a sable coat, Carolina Dogs are highly adaptable, affectionate with their families, and wary of strangers, making them excellent watchdogs. Their natural hunting instincts and independence require consistent training and an active lifestyle to thrive in a loving home environment.
