That’s how long Marco has been waiting.
Since July 4, 2024, Marco has been part of the rescue system. For 812 days, life has kept moving around him. Seasons changed. Holidays came and went. Other dogs came into rescue, found their people, packed their little bags, and went home.
And Marco stayed.
Not because he’s a bad dog.
Not because he’s unlovable.
Not because there’s anything wrong with him.
He just hasn’t been chosen yet.
And that might be the hardest part.
Because Marco is the kind of dog who makes you laugh without even trying. There’s honestly not a whole lot going on behind those eyes—just very little thought, a whole lot of vibes, and an enormous heart. He’s goofy, happy, affectionate, loves his toys, and would be perfectly content spending his life tagging along with his person and wondering what everyone is so serious about.
Marco LOVES female dogs and would be thrilled to have a girlfriend to share his home with. He can be friends with male dogs too with the right match, but the ladies definitely have his heart. Little dogs and cats, though? Marco says respectfully, no thank you.
He isn’t asking for much.
A couch to sleep on.
A person to love.
A few ridiculous toys he absolutely does not need.
Maybe a pretty dog girlfriend.
And somewhere to finally call home.
812 days is a long time to belong to everyone and no one at the same time.
Marco has people who love him. People who care for him. People who make sure he’s safe, fed, spoiled, and happy.
But rescue was never supposed to be his forever.
We want him to know what it feels like to be someone’s dog.
To have his own spot on the couch. His own routine. His own family waiting for him at the end of the day. To never have to wonder if the next person walking through the door might finally be there for him.
So please, share Marco.
