Meet Bella!
Bella is a beautiful Cane Corso mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Her journey began when she was found wandering along a very busy street. After being safely brought in, a microchip was discovered, but despite repeated attempts to contact, no one came forward to reclaim her.
While we may never know exactly what Bella experienced, we believe she was likely abandoned. What we do know is that she deserves a family who will choose her, love her, and never leave her behind.
Personality & Story
Bella is loyal, intelligent, confident, and protective. She forms strong bonds with her people and is incredibly affectionate with those she trusts.
She is an alert and aware dog who likes to know what is happening around her. Outside of confinement, Bella is a wonderful companion who enjoys being close to her people. She even loves the comforts of home—beds, couches, and being part of the family—which leads us to believe she was previously an indoor dog.
Bella is currently being treated for heartworm, and her future family will need to continue supporting her medical care as she completes her journey back to full health.
Good With:
Dogs: Yes! Bella has been tested with other dogs and does well with proper introductions.
Cats: Yes! Bella has been tested with cats.
Children: Yes! Bella has been tested with children.
Training & Home Life:
Bella is house trained and crate trained. She does well with her crate; however, she can become vocal or reactive when confined, so she would benefit from continued positive crate work and a family who understands her needs.
She is a smart girl who responds well to guidance and structure. With consistency, patience, and continued training, Bella has the potential to become an incredible companion.
What Bella Needs in a Forever Home:
Bella is looking for a family who can provide:
- Continued training and positive reinforcement
- A confident handler who understands her protective nature
- Daily exercise and mental enrichment
- Patience while she continues building trust
- A commitment to supporting her heartworm treatment
Bella is the perfect example of a dog who has been through uncertainty but still has so much love to give. She is loyal, loving, and eager to be someone's companion. Beneath her strong and confident exterior is a dog who simply wants to belong.
Bella will be arriving August 1st from our rescue partners and cannot wait to start the next chapter of her journey.
