Teri is a sweet Cairn Terrier looking for a loving home after experiencing a lot of change. Her owner passed away, and the person who stepped in to care for her has now become seriously ill and is not expected to recover.
Teri is a gentle, calm girl who enjoys affection, gets along well with other dogs, and is happy to relax by your side. She is potty trained, kennel trained, friendly, and easygoing.
Her veterinary care is up to date:
Current on vaccines
Heartworm negative
On heartworm prevention
Dewormed
Her veterinarian estimates she is approximately 13 years old and believes she is likely spayed.
Health notes:
She has a tumor that the vet feels is most likely a benign fatty mass, though no sample was taken to confirm.
Her abdominal exam felt normal.
She was diagnosed with dry eye and also had a small cut and infection in one eye. She was on antibiotics for 710 days which she finished but will need daily eye drops long term to manage the dry eye.
Hair loss may be age-related and due to immune changes, but she was cleared for diabetes. The vet mentioned possible thyroid issues or Cushings disease, waiting on bloodwork results and after receiving Simparica Trio, her hair loss seems to be getting better. It may have been (fleas)from scratching for fleas.
A full blood panel has been done and waiting for results.
Teri deserves a soft place to land and someone willing to give her comfort, care, and love in her golden years.
