Meet Peter!

Peter is a male boxer born September 2025! Peter and his older brother, Paul, came to B&B from Nelson County. Peter is a little shy right now as he adjusts to new life in his foster home, but is just coming out of his shell! He walks great on a leash, and is potty and crate trained! He loves other dogs and they are helping him build confidence, so a home with another confident dog is required.

He is looking for somebody to love and play with! He is snuggle, playful, and curious! He loves other dogs and is not afraid of loud noises, vacuums, or hairdryers! His foster can’t seem to figure out how he can walk and wiggle his butt so much at the same time, but its so cute!! He is obviously very talented!

He is a little skittish when he meets new people but after about five minutes of earning your trust, he is your velcro dog!

Peter is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is neutered, microchipped, is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and on a monthly preventative. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate vaccinations and his cost of care while in foster. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.

Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive.
