Meet Flower!

Flower is a sweet, 40-pound Boxer mix with a big heart and an even bigger belief that she is a lap dog!

Flower is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She loves playing fetch, zooming around the backyard, and entertaining herself with her favorite toys. But once playtime is over, her favorite place is right next to her person, or, if she gets her way, right in your lap! She'll happily climb up and curl up for a nap despite being a 40-pound girl.

She is also very smart and eager to learn. Flower already knows how to sit, is completely potty trained, and has been very easy to work with in her foster home.

Flower has been wonderful with children. She is very sweet and patient with a 21⁄2-year-old and has never snapped or shown aggression toward her. She has been incredibly tolerant and gentle around kids.

She is also a quiet girl who does not bark. Flower is kennel trained and can stay in her kennel while her foster family is at work. She may cry a little when she is first put in the kennel, but she settles in and does well.

With Other Dogs

Flower has previously been fostered with two dogs. She can be very excited when she first sees another dog, but as they get closer, she has shown some barking, growling, and lunging. We're continuing to monitor her and work on slow, positive introductions.

Most of all, Flower is just a loving, goofy, affectionate girl who wants to be near her people. She loves to play, loves to cuddle, and would happily spend her days following her favorite person around before curling up in their lap at the end of the day.

Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive. With their strong work ethic and protective instincts, boxers excel in various roles, including as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in dog sports.
