That grin is not a filter. Toby’s underbite is one of a kind, and the personality behind it matches. He’s a one-year-old boxer mix, 65 pounds, with soulful eyes and a goofy streak that makes it impossible to scroll past him.
Toby came to us from the Memphis area and has been fostered in both the city and the country — he adapts beautifully to either. He stays home uncrated with no accidents and nothing torn up, which at one year old tells you how smart this dog is. He loves people, plays great with other dogs, and at the end of the day, all he really wants is to be a lap dog.
Toby would be an excellent match for someone who loves hiking or camping — he can be trusted off leash and stays close on the trail. We hike with him off leash regularly and he never strays.
Toby is:
• Neutered & microchipped
• Up to date on all vaccinations
• Current on heartworm, flea & tick prevention
Toby is currently fostered in Chicago with a family of four. Mom, dad, two kids plus their two dogs.
Very well socialized. Loves activity.
Adoption fee: $495.
100% of the adoption fee goes toward helping other homeless dogs.

The boxer is a medium to large sized dog breed known for its muscular build, distinctive square head, and energetic personality. Boxers are loyal, affectionate, and good natured companions, making them an ideal family pet. They are intelligent, playful, and love to be around people, making them excellent with children. Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive. With their strong work ethic and protective instincts, boxers excel in various roles, including as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in dog sports.
