Esperanza - Boxer and Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

Esperanza is a 2-3-year-old former momma who has already experienced a lot of change in her young life. She was dearly loved by her family, but when circumstances beyond their control forced them to leave the country, they had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender her to a Houston-area shelter.

Now Esperanza is ready for the next chapter - and we think this incredibly sweet girl deserves **the family, the couch, the treats, and ALL the things.

Esperanza can be a timid little lady when she first meets someone but give her a little patience and watch that sweet personality come spilling out. Once she knows she's safe, she LOVES her people. She's wonderful with other dogs, does great with cats, and has absolutely adored the children in her foster home.

And then there's the wiggle.

When Esperanza gets excited, her entire body starts moving like she's trying to erase an Etch A Sketch. We're honestly not sure all four feet remain pointed in the same direction.

She also happens to have the most adorable cleft lip, which we like to think of as a tiny set of curtains perfectly framing her prized little snaggle tooth. It's part of what makes her wonderfully, unmistakably Esperanza.

Her hobbies include receiving affection, wiggling uncontrollably, hanging out with her foster siblings, and enjoying frozen margaritas poolside. By "frozen margaritas," we mean ice cubes. By "poolside," we mean directly in the middle of the nearest mud puddle. Esperanza is not particular about ambiance.

Esperanza is spayed, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative. She's ready to leave the momma-dog chapter behind and finally be somebody's spoiled baby.

This girl is gentle. She's silly. She's incredibly sweet. And after everything she's been through, we want nothing more than to see Esperanza land with a family who will love her for the rest of her life.

Esperanza deserves the best family. She deserves all the things. Most of all, she deserves forever.
