Bodie Girl - Boxer and Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

Meet Bodie a.k.a Bodie Girl

Boxer X Lab Mix
Weight: 26lbs on 6/3/2026
Estimated birthday: 2/03/2025

Bodies story began in a place no dog should ever have to call home. She was found starving and alone inside a drainage pipe in Sunnyside, Houston, doing everything she could to survive. While her past is heartbreaking, Bodie hasnt let it define her. Instead, she greets each day with a wagging tail, a hopeful heart, and so much love to give. Her finder assumed she was male and called her Bodie instantly and it has stuck since she likes it!

Bodie is the perfect medium-sized companion. Shes small enough to fit comfortably into almost any home, but her personality is larger than life. She absolutely adores people and soaks up affection every chance she gets. If youre looking for a dog who will happily curl up beside you after a long day and remind you what unconditional love feels like, Bodie is your girl. Being such a great size and te,perment, she accompanied the rescue's founder to represent all of our adoptable dogs on TV where our story got shared on the news! She was absolutely perfectly well behaved there :-)

She loves car rides, gets excited for adventures, and would never turn down a trip for a pup cup. Bodie is also dog friendly and enjoys playing with her canine friends, making her a great addition to a home with another playful pup.

Bodie is kennel trained and continuing to make progress with her potty training as she settles into the routine of living in a home. Like so many rescue dogs, shes learning that the world can be a safe and loving place.

What makes Bodie truly special isnt just what shes survived... its the fact that after everything shes endured, she still chooses love. She still trusts. She still hopes. And every day she waits for someone to see the incredible dog shes become.

Bodie has spent enough of her life wondering where her next meal would come from and whether shed make it through another day. Now she deserves a soft bed, a full belly, and a family who will never let her feel unwanted again.

Could you be the one to give Bodie the happy ending shes been waiting for? Her forever home might be just one application away.

Bodie is:
- Vaccinated with age appropriate vaccines and microchipped
- Kennel & potty training in progress
