Meet Pumpkin!

Pumpkin is an adorable 9-month-old, 50-pound Boxer mix looking for a patient, understanding family to help her blossom into the confident young dog she’s meant to be!

Pumpkin started out as a stray who spent several weeks loose and feeling unsure of people before Animal Control was finally able to catch her. Understandably, new people and unfamiliar environments can still feel overwhelming for this sweet girl. She tends to be a little reserved at first, but she has made wonderful progress! She’ll often sneak up to people when they aren’t looking, and she’s now interacting with everyone here.

Pumpkin absolutely thrives with other dogs, and having a confident, social dog in her forever home is a MUST! She looks to other dogs for reassurance and would benefit from a canine companion who can help show her the ropes. A securely fenced yard is also required to help keep her safe while she continues building confidence.

Pumpkin will need a family willing to give her time, patience, and plenty of positive exposure to new people and experiences. She may not be the dog who runs up to greet every stranger right away, but with understanding and encouragement, she continues to show us more of her personality every day.

She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Now she just needs someone willing to see the special girl hiding behind that initial shyness. Could Pumpkin be the missing piece of your family?
