Boxer and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

ROOKIE

Boxer, Mixed Breed
April 21st
male, small, baby

DESCRIPTION

Rookie is a 4-month-old Boxer mix puppy with a big heart and an eager-to-learn mindset. This sweet boy is expected to grow to at least 40–50 pounds, though his exact size is still a bit of a mystery. Rookie is the perfect candidate for puppy kindergarten as well as basic and intermediate obedience training, as he’s at the ideal age to soak up new skills. He gets along well with other dogs and would do best with slow, supervised introductions if cats are in the home. Rookie is fully up-to-date on vaccines and preventative care and will be available for foster-to-adopt until after his neuter appointment. Like any young pup, he will need crate training and potty training from square one. With guidance and structure, Rookie has all the potential to grow into an amazing companion. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is $200

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
