My name is Vinnie. I am 17 months old and weigh 17 pounds. I need a new home because I came from a home that included 2 young energetic boys. The constant activity and overstimulation led to anxious behavior. The family decided I would do better in a different environment and surrendered me. I am being fostered in Broomfield, Colorado.

I’ll do best in a home with a yard where I can get plenty of exercise and where I can be the center of attention. I would prefer a home without other pets or children/grandchildren. I love having my people all to myself!

I love going for walks and exploring all the interesting smells along the way. I also enjoy car rides and going on new adventures. I did well in doggy daycare and enjoyed being around other dogs in that setting. However, I can be reactive to other dogs when I’m on a leash, so quieter walking times and less busy locations are best for me.

Daily exercise and mental stimulation are a must for me! I love problem solving puzzle toys that keep me engaged and provide mental enrichment. Kongs with frozen treats are great. After the walks, and playtime, I’m ready for a snooze in a sunny spot!

I don’t mind my crate and have no problem relaxing there while you’re running errands or away for work.

I’ve got main character energy, so I’d really prefer to be your one-and-only pet and have my people all to myself. In return, I have lots of love, fun, and personality to share. I’m looking for someone who will give me the exercise, attention, structure, and love I need—and in return, I promise to keep you entertained!

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
