My name is Lassy. I am 10 months old and weigh 15 pounds. I need a new home because I was released from a breeder. I am being fostered in Bates City, MO.
I am full of sass, energy, and opinions. I am learning how to have fun and be a puppy. My foster mom is trying to teach me things like sit & stay but it's really boring and I am much more interested in rolling around in the grass or chewing on the leash.
I am still learning that people want to spend all their time telling me how cute I am. Sometimes I try to act uninterested, but I am secretly really starting to enjoy it. I am pretty shy in new places or around new people, but I can only hold my energy for so long before I need to zoom around!
I am working really hard to not have any accidents in the house. I can hold it for about 6 hours during the day, and I don't have any accidents through the night.
I sleep in the bed under the covers, and I am nicknamed "Ant" because I crawl all around to find the perfect spot. Even though I am still learning to give and receive affection, I am a real snuggle bug. I enjoy cuddling right up to my humans so they can hold me while I sleep.
I don't mind spending time in my kennel, but I don't want to go in on my own.
I live with cats, chickens, geese, and horses. I don't bother any of them and have no interest in chasing them. I would do best with older kids who understand that sudden movement can make me nervous. I think I would enjoy a friend to play with, but I would also be just fine if I was the only pet.
My perfect home is a calm environment that I can spend lots of time outside mastering my zoomies. I will need someone who is confident and composed to teach me all the commands to be a lady but will also understand that I am just now getting to experience being a puppy.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.
MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.
MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
