Carrie *Arriving 7/25* D11744 - Border Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption

Carrie showed up looking for help with her litter of pups. After a winding road, including having another litter, she found herself rescued into a foster home. Now she is heading North to Minnesota for a new start! Carrie is very trusting and loving, despite everything she's been through. She seems just glad to be safe, comfortable and loved! She wants ALL the snuggles, but her favorite part of the day is going outside (with her people in tow, of course, she is very much a lap pet/shadow dog).

Carrie is a star with potty training and walking on the leash, but hasn't had much in the way of training (sit, come, stay etc). She's a goofy, playful gal and loves tug of war.
Carrie is ready to plop herself into your lap and make herself right at home!

Carrie is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 7/25/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian.
