Bear is a loving boy who enjoys cuddling up close and curling into the cutest little ball for snuggles. Beneath his energetic side is a sweet companion who wants to connect with his people, learn what’s expected of him, and be part of a family.
As a Border Collie mix, Bear thrives with exercise, consistency, and structure. His foster has seen how well he does when he has clear expectations and one-on-one attention. He’s eager to learn and can really shine when his environment allows him to focus!
What Bear is looking for:
An active home: Daily walks, exercise, and opportunities to explore are important for Bear. A home with a fenced yard would be a bonus, but it isn’t a must if he gets plenty of exercise and outdoor time.
A person who loves training: Bear is still learning his manners and impulse control. He needs a patient adopter who will provide consistent guidance, positive reinforcement, and a predictable routine.
A chance to learn at his own pace: Bear has a lot of potential, but he needs someone willing to invest the time and patience to help him become the best version of himself.
Bear has shown that he likes cats, but his excitement and chasing instincts mean he still needs help learning appropriate boundaries. Careful introductions, supervision, and impulse-control training will be important.
He has also shown a sweet, gentle side with his foster’s younger child. Any home with children should be prepared to provide structure, supervision, and calm interactions.
The best part about Bear?
When he feels comfortable and understands what’s expected of him, he settles in, listen, and enjoys being close to his people. And when the day is done? He’s more than happy to curl up into a little ball and soak up all the snuggles.
Bear isn’t looking for a perfect home. He’s looking for a committed one with someone who sees his potential, understands that he’s still learning, and will give him the time, exercise, guidance, and love he needs to thrive.
