Meet Dutch!
Dutch was found at Dutch Bros Coffee during the summer, wandering around scared and looking for someone — anyone — to give him a safe place to rest. A nearby neighbor was able to secure him and immediately fell for his sweet disposition. Surely, someone had to be missing this boy, right?
Turns out... nope.
Dutch wasn't lost. He was simply a sweet boy who became frightened during the storms and was wandering around looking for someone to help him.
We may never know his whole story, but we do know Dutch — and Dutch is a Border Collie through and through.
He LOVES to play. When Dutch wants to play, he will let you know — and he won't let you forget! But once playtime is over, he's perfectly happy to settle down and rest.
Our volunteers who know and love Border Collies can see those classic characteristics in Dutch: intelligence, energy, enthusiasm, and that unmistakable "I have a job to do" personality.
Dutch is good with dogs and cats, but he's young and active, so he's not looking for a family who wants a dog to lounge around all day. He's looking for someone who will appreciate what makes a Border Collie a Border Collie and who will give him the mental and physical activity he needs to thrive.
Dutch is:
Young male Border Collie
Smart and energetic
Playful and enthusiastic
Good with dogs and cats
Happy to settle after playtime
Looking for an active home
Ready for a family who understands the Border Collie breed
Dutch is the kind of dog who will keep you moving, keep you laughing, and probably keep you wondering what he's going to get into next. He has a big personality and a lot of life to live — now he just needs the right person to share it with.
If you're looking for an intelligent, active companion and understand what life with a Border Collie is really like, Dutch may be your guy!

Our pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick prevention, dewormed, and examined by a veterinarian. Dogs are heartworm tested and cats are FIV/FeLV tested when age appropriate, unless otherwise noted.
Meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment after an adoption application has been submitted. Our adoption process is designed to help each pet find the right forever home.
