DESCRIPTION
Just look at that smile! Lola is a happy-go-lucky border collie/lab mix that was surrendered to us recently through no fault of her own. At 6 years old, Lola has the best qualities of a mature high energy dog- Still playful and silly, but loves to mellow out and snuggle with her people.
Understandably, Lola has been a bit down since coming to the shelter. The transition alone is a lot for dogs to handle. That doesn't stop her from shining. As soon as she's out of her kennel she an immediately trusting dog who wants nothing more than to be an oversized lap puppy. She does well with other animals, with proper introductions, and people of all ages making her the perfect addition to a variety of homes.
If you've been looking for a loyal, dedicated, and affectionate dog, we've got her! You can meet Lola at 2205 E. Washington St. in Mt. Pleasant, IA Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm or you can get a head start by filling out our application at agcshelter.org/adopt-1.
Our dog adoption fee is $150 and includes up-to-date vaccinations and preventatives, their spay/neuter, microchipping, heart worm testing and prevention. Come meet your new bestie!
ABOUT: BORDER COLLIE DOG BREED
The Border Collie is a highly intelligent and energetic dog breed known for their herding capabilities and exceptional obedience. Originating from the border regions of Scotland and England, these agile and versatile dogs are famous for their focus, stamina, and trainability. With their striking black and white coat and intense gaze, Border Collies excel in various canine sports and activities, making them ideal companions for active families and individuals seeking a loyal and dynamic pet.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
