Quigley (AL) - Bloodhound Dog for Adoption

Quigley only has three legs, but this 4 year old Bloodhound doesn’t let his tripawd status slow him down one bit! Quigley’s story started when he was found abandoned in the parking lot of a veterinary emergency clinic in Louisiana with a badly broken leg. Sadly, his leg couldn’t be saved and had to be amputated. He was adopted by a family, but after a change in their circumstances, they were no longer able to keep their dogs. So Quigley found himself surrendered to ABTCR. We’re determined to make sure his next chapter is his forever one.

In good weight at 65 lbs, Quigley is good with children, dogs, and cats. He’s a medium-energy hound that enjoys a nice walk or a good couch session and is an exceptionally good boy. He’s also cratetrained and housetrained, too. He’s ready to walk into his new home and get to work as your personal assistant. Need help fixing the weedeater or tackling a household project? He’ll offer moral support and is always happy to lend a paw or a gentle kiss. Doing the dishes? He’ll supervise.

Quigley is affectionate, easygoing, and adaptable; if you’re looking for a loyal companion, a couch buddy, a walking partner, and a helper who will happily follow you wherever the day takes you, Quigley is your guy. Sometimes dogs with the hardest beginnings have the biggest hearts and Quigley is ready to prove it.

The bloodhound is a large scent hound known for its exceptional tracking abilities. With a distinctive wrinkled face and droopy ears, these dogs have a keen sense of smell, second only to the beagle. Bloodhounds are gentle, affectionate, and good with children, making them excellent family pets. Their determination and relentless tracking skills have made them invaluable in search and rescue missions. Regular exercise and mental stimulation are essential to keep these intelligent dogs happy and healthy.
